Let me guess: as an ambitious professional, you set high standards for yourself. This brings you success in your professional life, but it also leaves you *constantly* stressed and tired. Seeing a therapist who specializes in work stress management helps you create a healthier balance between your ambitions and well-being. It’s a dedicated space to process your feelings and come up with better strategies and coping mechanisms so you can stop surviving and start thriving!

Heck yes! Seeing a therapist who specializes in work stress allows you to recover from burnout as well as prevent it from developing. As our culture gets more fast-paced and people deal with more pressure and performance expectations, burnout is becoming more and more common. In fact, 65% of employees report suffering from burnout. This doesn’t have to become your normal with effective therapy.

You should see a therapist about anxiety if it interferes with your daily life and you want to feel less anxious and stressed. If you often wake up tired despite having slept, rush through your daily motions, struggle to concentrate, constantly worry about deadlines and work security, secretly think that you’re not good enough, and find it impossible to relax, you should definitely see a therapist.
- 07
If you never feel satisfied with the results of your work, have a tendency to hold yourself to an impossible standard, and struggle with imposter syndrome, consider seeing a therapist for perfectionism. Therapy can help you manage performance expectations, develop a healthier perspective on work, and feel less pressure.

We can meet either weekly or bi-weekly for 50-minute therapy sessions. I know that as a busy professional, it can be hard to find the time for therapy. This is why I have openings in my calendar in the afternoons and evenings so we can meet after your work day is done.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Therapist in Texas, Virginia, and Washington DC. I hold a Master's of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Trinity University.
I’m trained in various therapy techniques, including CBT and EMDR Therapy. Instead of sticking to one method, I use an eclectic mix of different techniques in my work and create a personalized plan for each person.

Once you decide to move forward, you’ll receive an email asking for your insurance details. Once you fill them out, you’ll get another email letting you know how much your copay is and providing you with the link to securely submit your payment. If you’re not using insurance, you’ll receive a link to submit your direct payment.
Once that is taken care of, you’ll get an intake questionnaire so I can learn more about your background and challenges before our first session. From there, we’ll have regular weekly or bi-weekly 50-minute sessions for as long as you need them.

Therapists are trained professionals with advanced degrees and extensive clinical supervision. Therapy is an investment in yourself, helping you become better both personally and professionally. For high-stress careers, maintaining top mental shape is crucial. Think of therapy as a gym for your mind. Achieving a better work-life balance and reducing stress can enhance your productivity and fulfillment both in and out of the office.

It depends on your specific challenges and goals. Every person is unique, but I typically recommend doing weekly therapy sessions for 4-6 weeks to start seeing results!
